is this heading back towards massively el stupido tax (VED) rates for LGVs, Rory? at one time artics were insanely expensive to taxIt's a nice looking truck that should sell well at that. The truck market is cooling significantly with the reintroduction of the Road HGV levy (*****).
Stuff with no MOT is basically scrap money and unfortunately the older Dafs are mostly shot in the cabs..... Just spending alot of money ATM having mine welded up.
However I am noticing more people after analogue tachos and older simpler lorries

I presume that that truck is the successor to the old Leyland series with a very similar looking cab? ..
Had a 32t Cruiser, as a tow truck for dead cranes ..
was a lovely thing to drive (for its day) and comfy in the cab (with 5t of ballast on the 5th wheel).
Good on fuel too ...
I once towed 42t of 8 leg Grove back from Stafford, easily.
Ste's ain't in the 32t class, but bet it hauls well for its capacity ... looks very tidy, but as Rory says, they did have a propensity for the cabs to rot - badly, which was a pity.

You can buy the entire cab side from daf at a cost of 3k but for a 2ft section on each side it's not worth it by along way.
My 10t daf tipper is currently been rebuilt, the grab is sound enough but I reckon its after another mot it'll be in state where it needs addressing.
