Another Nox

I think its always good to let everyone know when you have had some good service.

I have had my second Kinshofer Nox TR14 fitted. Last one I had on my old JCB Js130 and it was trouble free for 4.5 years.

Just brought a JBC X140 and had another fitted by MTK-Breakers.

Paul at MTK was first class chap to deal with from start to finish. In these days of make a fast buck its nice to have a family style values company that still upholds good relations for a long term service. Nothing was too much for him and even when I had machine delivered on 16th Dec he was good enough to talk me through on phone to change some settings on the 24th even though they had closed for Christmas.

As I've said on this site many times, these days all tiltrotators are a great asset and there are more on machines in the uk these days. I truly believe all makes of them are great and I'm not here to persuade anyone to buy Nox over another brand, try them all make your own mind up. Kinshofer Nox works brilliantly for me.

So a shout out to MTK for great service and the fitters.

Looks like a great unit ....unfortunately NOX in France wont supply a TR07 for my upcoming Wacker Neuson ET65 - they willl only offer a TR11 which is too heavy imho - they say
For tr07 max bucket tearout 50k.N
Tr11 max bucket tearout 75k.N
Neuson et65 bucket tearout 51k.N

So im out of luck

You know what, if I was going to go down the tilty route, I’d only bother with a nox, mtk ain’t far from me and shaun says, nothing is too much trouble for them, good old fashioned straight firm who’s word is there bond

A Standard Tiltrotators for a 13/14 ton machine are anywhere between 20 to 22k depends really on what set up you want. I've still got the quotes. There are cheaper options depending what you want it to do and attachment you needing to use.. If your after full fat version you could add a lot more as ec oil and steering on leavers and rear gripper etc then the costs go up and up. With the current climate and rescission I'm sure everything is negotiable and encon, steelwrist, kinshofer and other makes are all keen to get your custom.

I use mine not just for the basic bucket and roller beam work. I have a Powerhand grab which was cheaper as I did not need a rotator, its setup to have a Cranab Grapple Saw on it . Also I run a tree shear setup from Exact-One Ltd as I do a lot of tree work and cut wood for biomass.
The set up I have was for landscaping, farm and agricultural working as this is what I mainly do. Construction and demolition work you may need it set up slightly differently.

Everyone should try them on a demo day, they don't work for everyone and for some it wont pay. I see more companies putting them on there fleets.
Most Scandinavian countries have more with than without.

Tiltrotators are a huge debate in the excavator community causing controversy. For me its a bit like Laser level 2d and 3d systems. People say you don't need them and that's what banksmen are for. The cost and outlay of 8000 pounds upwards is to extravagant. However anyone who uses one on a daily basis will tell you their invaluable and saves time and money. Its same for me with a tiltrotator.

I was using another 5 ton machine other day and was shocked at how much I could not do without constantly repositioning the machine and how much extra time it took and job did not have same polish I like to achive.
I did it and customer was over the moon with finish but I know it would have been less stress to get a better result for me and my skills with the tiltrotator.

I'm on with one but treading carefully... I'm starting to talk to the tiltrotator suppliers at the moment - the wacker seems to be right on the limit of category of tiltrotator I want to put on it.

But making progress.

I certainly would like to give one a try. But in all honesty I’m not sure how anything out there could be any better than my Engcon unit, and I’m not one to be blinded by the brand!
