What valve do yall suggest for adding a hydraulic quick hitch to an excavator that didn't come with one?

You'll need one like this

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
with a relief in the manifold
without a relief you are constantly dead ending whatever circuit you use for operating the QH's piston -- the relief is usually on the close side only as it's rarely open, for long. Maintains full pressure and dumps excess, without overloading the system/circuit - if pressure drops in the close side, the relief stops dumping and compensates until full pressure is returned to the piston/cylinder

For this style solenoid you would hook into the pump output circuit for it to operate?

yep - my 'Drema uses the Delta output off the pump ... can open the hitch at any angle i like ... great for forks/grabs/VA-r

I bought this valve a couple years ago for a different project and never used it. Would it work for the QH?

It’s what I do!
How is the check valve at EXT working (oil in only)?

I ended up getting a kit from Engcon. Seemed the best way.

Looks like a good kit but with some unexpected parts.

1. A nitrogen pressure accumulator. Reminds me of what we called the “bomb” on old Audi with hydraulic brakes assist instead of vacuum.

2. A valve for locking the slew.

Now I have to find a place for it all then get hoses made.
