24v starter motor premature failure

I have a customer that has had a starter motor which has only lasted 2 months.
It is 24v internal solenoid type and the solenoid coil has burnt out.

Ignoring that it looks like the OP isn't coming back, two things strike me:

1st, you can't overload a solenoid, so if it fails (particularly an infant failure), then it's most likely a manufacturing fault.
2nd, if it's only 2 months old, shouldn't it still be under warranty?
