Mate has just bought a cat, canopy machine, £20k. s**t is getting seriously expensive.
Almost makes my recent £12k for some wheels and a 13hp Honda hydraulic pack with a bucket look reasonable!

Had a quick shufti through eBay again today...seems to be either 12k branded old kit or new chinky machines for 6k.

I rekon for mini digger, work on £11000.00 per ton and you'll be about right on cost for most makes lol

Prices seem to be softening a bit secondhand. However, the new prices are through the roof. 20k starting price for a known make with canopy really, two years ago you could get a 2.5t with cab for £23.5k (Yanmar)

Had some prices in last couple of weeks for a friend.all machines with proloc hitch apart from the tak with a hydraulic version,and 4 buckets and cab.takeuchi £20900,pre price increase of £900,Volvo ec18 £20300 and yanmar Sv 19 little over £23k.most dealers got no idea when next models are coming in either.and because of no stock there is no haggling either.

Knock 1k off the taki for hyd hitch and the yanmar makes it look a bargain! I still think the price rises we've seen have been held back for a long time and that makes them look worse. They are not entirely down to covid but it's a good time to apply them when you've something to blame. My tak 219 with hyd hitch and 5 buckets was 19.5k in 2016 so just under 21k now maybe not so bad. Another £900 going on though........
I do wonder if there's a price difference north to south as well tbh.

Well it turned up today.seems a well built machine and sure it will work well and the builder will be happy with it.cant see the pipes on the hitch lasting long.on the actual ram the pipes are bent over in a u shape really tightly but we will see.

If that's what you were pricing it was on the dear side then. Hitch pipes be same as mine btl's and I've had no bother in over 5 years. You do just have to be considerate of the fact of where they are depending on what you're doing (like any hitch pipes tbh).

What does anyone know about the Liugong 9018f machine ? Are they the usual "cheap Chinese rubbish" ? They look OK , lots of "extras" as standard and there seems to be a few on the market. Not many dealers in the UK yet and they're all down south although one has opened in Manchester but that's still 100 miles from me. Just wondering what opinions were ?
