JCB 801.4 drive/engine revs problem

Hi there
I am new to all this digger stuff so please ge gentle.
I have a JCB 801.4 2015 year mini digger.
Its all been working fine , but the other day as i was reversing it up my steep drive the engine really slowed as if it was going to stall, as soon as i let go of the drive sticks the revs came back up to normal, i had to keep driving and stopping t eventually get it up the hill.
It seems to be working fine on the level. Its the first time it has done this and i dont know if its connected , but it had just thrown a track the day before ?
Any ideas ?

Have you replaced the track motor oils recently or over adjusted the tracks after one came off?

55mm to 60 mm, lift track off the ground, this is the measurement between the bottom of the track frame and the surface of the track below. Measure in the middle of the track frame where the track is most slack.

My thoughts too replace filters and any inline ones too

Or the lift pump doesn’t work, fuel was low!

Look out for black slime in the fuel filters when you change them as diesel bug does like the bio part of modern fuel, best treated with a biocide. On less frequently used kit it's well worth treating all of the fuel put in and keeping the tank full to reduce the amount of damp seasonal air above the fuel

No i havent replaced the track motor oil but i am going to. Thanks

Yes i think they were both at 50mm will adjust to 55mm

I've used Soltron with excellent results in the past to clear heavily contaminated systems. Currently use fuel set in infrequently used machines to keep any water in suspension and so not leaving the water to fuel interface that the bug loves.

I dont think any 8014 has two speed tracking. I think to get any luxury's you had to go up to the 8015 or bigger

This model doesnt have 2 speed tracking.
