Lifting containers

We have got to lift these 300mm-400mm. Think its to get the fall for sewer. Any bright ideas. Forklift on site but can't get to where they meet. Not sure how heavy, can't be that heavy they are well fare units.
And what to put under them.

How long are they? A 14m telehandler will pick a 20ft up over the end just with a set of chains to hang them on you could put them on a stack of paving slabs or some decent lumps of timber

I’d stick concrete flags under them and pick them up with a steel wedge to make room for a toe or hi lift jack

As for weight I lifted some 30’ welfare units and they were 4.5 tonnes

aside from the cost of the high density slabs ... that'd be my route too ... jack each end a slab at a time ... and slip 'em under as you climb/rise

Highlift jack will do it, one side at a time. You're on good concrete there so a jack of some kind will be the easiest way if you cant get a machine to it. As for what to put them on, 300mm is a fair height to raise them by. I'd be using dense concrete blocks then plywood for the final shim.

6 x 50mm slabs ...... will outlast blocks by decades and far more stable, with virtually no risk of crushing

Yeah get some 2" x 2' x 12" flags

yeh pallet truck'd do it with suitable packers Dylan ... steel wedge is exactly that ... thrash it in to get you started if it's tight to the floor .... roller bar is also handy

How long are they gonna be there? Flags are Ok but if you point load them they crack easy. Might be worth an offcut of steel plate on the top to spread load better.

A toe jack or sometimes called a towing jack will get closer to the ground and are readily available to hire

aye you'll shift some gear with one (or three ) of these

and at any angle ... have five in my 'arsenal'
one hydraulic alternative

but the old ratchets never leak or run out of oil

If you can get to one end with a forklift lift it up at that end and put a block in just past half way along the unit then lower it again until the other end is the height you want with the Packers in then lift the forklift end again to the height and pack it level.

Well if you can get a telehandler to one end, I’d lift that end up stick a few blocks of wood just over halfway down the cabin to the appropriate height then lower the telehandler so the other end, (where it’s close the the other cabin) rises so you can then block that end to the right height, then simply lift with the telehandler once again to level the cabin up, block up job done
