Hi all, haven't checked in in a while didn't have much of interest going on, but you can rejoice in my misery. Local community garden wanted a load of compost, sayd I'd collect it from the city for them, well as you know no good deed goes unpunished!!! Sunk to the axials.

Then had a bit of time in the yard not often that I need both the Mini excavator and Skid steer together on a job but thought I see if could get them on the trailer together, it's "legal" but don't know if I can get the tongue weight right

Would the skidsteer help with weight distribution if loaded the other way around? Or even the opposite way around at the front of the trailer with the micro at the back?
What is your hitch setup and what tongue weight are you trying to achieve?

On a truck of that size can one of them go on the truck ?? Or is the trailer wide enough to put side by side ?

Was there ever a generic council colour scheme? There were plenty of them around Cheshire at some point (I had a couple of mates with them 🤣)
Some of our local councils have dropped the colour scheme now.

Once they were all distinctive to the area but not anymore.

Even Royal Mail have dropped the colour scheme for new vans.

Everything is being cut to the bone.

White royal mail vans are either short term hire (usually lots around Christmas) or royal mail properties and facilities. The bulk are still red.

Derbyshire highways used to be orange but see a lot of them in white now, they've some since short wheelbase 18 ton tipper/hiab trucks

Where did the old yellow ldvs with the green stripe originate from? They were the cheapest, most reliable way of getting an old second-hand tipper for a few years!!
Avon Tyre Services.
That one had under 50,000 miles..... It got cut up earlier this year as it was beyond welding ever.... which tbh was a sin.

I'll be honest I'm not sure what my tongue weight should be, but it doesn't look right.

The skid doesn't have a attachment on, in the picture , it's a bit hairy going up with just the bucket no attachment, next day I'm playing in the yard I'll put the 44inch bucket on and drive up and the Kubota can track into the bucket. The trailer is well within capacity, just playing really I suppose.

The book says the truck can take it , but I suspect it be a trip to the weight bridge. There daft hear over weights, there's times of the year you've to reduce your weight,in spring as the ground is tawing

Won't get a chance to for a bit the next project is to put the plate tamper back together. I bought it as a non runner, put a knock of carb into it and it was running great, thought I was a f****ng genius!!! then I seen loose bolt under the cover, me being me couldn't leave it alone, if I'd got 3or 4 jobs out of it if have been miles ahead, Removed the cover, Then seen the pulley had the keyway stripped, the previous owner had the belts and that pulled for a friction fit this was my big mistake dropped it into a machine shop to fix the keyway, never asked the price, I won't say what it cost , but I was like that's ok I'll still be ahead.......
.....
Then the basterding thing went on sale and a good sale $100 and I'd had a new one.

We don’t do it because it’s easy. We do it because we didn’t know it would be this hard.
