The upright one they use here looks a much better design than the ones we use.
I noticed a suspicious amount of shovelling and raking going on there! Didn't think you needed to with a tilty![]()

...or a tilty-mounted plate compactor. Then again, as Fred says, that would be another reason to stand the groundies down.Bet that fucks your back royally.
Roller job anyway that.... Bomag 80, stick it on the same lorry as the machine or the aggregate. Do a far superior job.

I'm not a fan of plates for large areas like that. Never seen one put the required weight down. Same with pedestrian rollers.
Cannot beat a bomag 80 for small jobs.... I need to buy one of the old heavy compaction models as cbl seem to now be replacing them.

Got a lad from Birmingham that buys any Ally we have.... comes down for holiday once a year and always drops in. Polite, no issues and know him for years.

was a time when certain tranny props were unobtainable ..... and highly sought after ... long time ago now thoughHaha...so true.....on a rail job up north, got done 3/4 in the morning, lads jumped in tranny pickup to go home...into gear and it just reved up?? tried again, same thing....looked
underneath, theyโd only gone and taken the prop shaft of it!!
10 maybe 12 years ago ... when cats were making absolutely stupid money in the scrap, was a guy in this area with a tranny done up to look like an AA van ... he'd rock up in a car park, trolley jack out, car up, chain pipe cutter underneath, either end of the cat and off ....... he'd do maybe 10-15 vehicles and off to another car park ..... in a different town ...... plod never caught him and must've made a mint ... they were fetching huge money back then when scrap was sillynowadays you know they been as the alloys and cat are gone from the motor![]()
