I wouldnt if I didnt have 2x 2.8tonners but given one of them is essentially expendable to my mind the 2.4 fills a nice gap where I want to take a digger and several attachments to a job for a day or twos work. Also sounds silly but when walling I'm in and out the cab alot. The ET24 with tracks wider than the cab makes it far easier getting in and out. Also I want the VDS- I have spinal alignment issues- so many footpath jobs I do where a vds ET 20/24 will mean I can sit level with out skewing- I find sitting on the piss the worst thing for my back. Ive tried a ET24 and the lift capacity is very impressive/ massive track motors etc so would do plenty of jobs the 2nd 3 tonner would do
Sounds like a no brainer then!

Without teaching you to suck eggs… just slew the machine around abit so you get out onto a full width of track.. I always forget and end up scrambling over the blade or 2ft drop into thin air 😂

I’d sell both and buy one, any narrow jobs just rent one in from jewsons for £180/week!

You’re after a 3 tonner anyway aren't you, not a 1.8t?
I could get away with hiring really, just don’t like it. Not seeming to get much below ground work at present. It’s a competitive market and we only do the niche jobs.
I would like a bigger one on standby for all the bits and bobs on the farm project, but allegedly I’m supposed to be getting free use of a Kx613 which is a good size for that. Plus the pecker / post knocker and auger will fit as it’s 30mm pins.
I suppose a 216 size might be worth entertaining as an option to replace E10z. Great machine but unless you’re stuck on size it’s always better to be bigger.

Well it's here when you want it! Seriously, same for anyone else that might want it . It's on 30 mm pins. As clean as a whistle, owned by me from new. Track oils, engine etc done every 250hrs since new, 1700hrs now but really very tight. It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of the 216, some seem to love them others not so much, but one thing I will say is that in 7 years it's NEVER let me down or needed anything.

Looks a very nice machine for the money, and a decent advert but I'm sure we'd all prefer this one for more money and 3 times the hours 😆 🤣

Went to Mcleans yard before Xmas. Could have spent all day there- those lads know how to run a tight ship. Immaculate yard everything well presented- leave you to get on with trying things out👌

Someone has looked after that machine for sure.. goes to show what they can do with a bit of care even if alot of that time is idling hours
Impressive isn't it 🤔👍
As it happens I've just bought a 23r!
Canopy of course, for the domestic misery 😆 🤣 3000ish hours, 11k plus VAT. Tight as a drum, tracks beautifully, serviced, new rollers. Not the best cosmetically- sun faded red and its had a whack on the side panel (like its been hit, not scraped🤔), but I can sort that, not a big deal
I had no plans at all to buy a 2.5 but this came up local, some jobs were more profitable than I expected and I've won a chunk of woodland work just down the road 👌👌
My mate down the yard had 1 just the same a couple of years ago but had to sell it as him and his buisness partner went their separate ways. It was his favourite, and mine, but his kubota 2.7 was easier to hire out so the Tak had to go unfortunately.
Hopefully collect it this week 🤞
