Has anyone managed to .....

Worst bit is tilting the bed atm as it's manual which is about to be rectified with a 12v hydraulic pump also don't need to connect a vehicle to off load

While I'm at it... It's not just the ramps either . Not loving the drop down prop stands either.🤣 Scrabbling around on hands and knees pulling various lynch pins out and then ifor must have been on a cost cutting exercise because they should really stretch to an extra inch of chain attached to said pin so you can actually get the fecker out! I'll leave the moaning about Ifors tye down points for another day though as blood pressure is starting to rise here.😬

I find it easier to chuck a block under the rear cross member. Way easier than arguing with the stands. The spring loaded ones on Brian James trailers look neat.

Same we never used the legs on our LM , kept 2 sleeper offcuts on the back 👍🏼 much prefer the GX with full ramp.

More likely because they were always much higher price compared to Pincombes .
How much I sound like a stuck record you'll always come back to Ifor...theres a reason their stuff works and we all moan about crappy finish etc but there's prob at least half a million out there every day doing their stuff.
Our Nugent dealer says they're worse to deal with as much smaller and massive lead times plus more expensive and heavier than Ifor...🤔

If you have a long enough bed on and LM and a heavy enough machine you have auto tilt - no ramps required. Just don’t do it on a hill.
Ive seen LMs crack on the main floor joists though. I think was caused by loading with out proper supports. Blocks of wood are great and what I used to use, but I'm often on unloading on uneven rough round so quite tricky to get the right height all the time. In that sense the prop stands are good as they're adjustable just a shame they're such a pain in the arse to deploy.

You can't beat Winstone on price! I got this latest one though second hand from PRJ engineering services and new floor. I wasn't planning on using it that much other than moving the 3t dumper around but as it happens I think I'll just be sticking to 2ton dumper and the 1054- it's quick, convenient and stress free.

This is my one the bed tilts just in front of the first axle and the lights fold down into the bed so they can't be damaged whilst offloading I will get it galvanized eventually when I decide it's finished with all the tie downs and extras I want

problem with tilt beds, unless they're on rocking beam twin spring set ups, is they massively load one axle, loading/unloading .... easy to use though (y)

Yes it does load one axle while loading the rear one front tyres are off the deck
and that will eventually bollox your rear running gear .... what suspension do you have under it ???
unless .... the tilt is a positive action and can load the tail and tilt actuator, relieving the running gear of any loading as you load ;) ... will give the hitch/draw bar/towing vehicle some hammer though  ... unless propped at the front end

I had a 6ft mesh tailgate ramp for my lm146. Modified the hinges so it was only a 5 minute job, if that, to put on and off. Used it quite a bit before I got my plant trailers. Downsides were it was a big heavy lump at the back of the trailer and it made the whole thing very long when you were parked up with it down on jobs.
Sold it a couple of weeks ago as I hadn't used it for years.
Toying with one with a mesh ramp but the thought of taking it on and off is offputting. How did you mod it to make it a 5 min job?
