Houses in a factory should in theory have better quality control plus no need to have super skilled workers as asign 1 or 2 jobs to each person, corporations will rub there handsOnly by building with factory precision can the next government hit housing targets

Building houses ain't the problem it's the planning system totally subjective and incredibly expensive

no matter how fast you create the kitbuilt houses - they still need the usual groundworks in preparation for them and damned nigh on impossible to speed that up without some massive tents and a lot more skilled workers to carry it out

There are options to speed it up. Screw piles for example, yes they need good ground but where suitable would work very well with factory built timber frame houses.
Utilities are a shambles tbh aswell. How have we not got to a point where we have something like multi core ducting or channels in the footways that utilities can share, I believe they have started to do this in other countries

A single multi strand duct would be far quicker than what we do currently. Multiple houses in a street going out to a single jointing pit.I had considered screw piling -- BUT -- services still have to go in and the piling has to be cock on for a kit-build
Could even go as far as to fit a macerator to each house and pump the waste out.
I always have added loads of extra ducts to every custom built house. Not worth it on developments but definitely worth it for custom build. Especially now with all sorts of heat pump and solar setups.
A bundle of 150mm ducts just to get out the foundations. Then a few to any outbuildings.

I think labour will win but not as well as everyone thinks.
Tories will retain strongholds and do slightly better than predicted because I'm not feeling a lot of love for labour/Starmer
Reform will get alot of votes and maybe a few seats if they're lucky.

Definitely but not being quite as bizarre on Facebook.
Lots of blue haired students saying they should steal the ballot boxes or kidnap all the Tory voters, not realising quite how stupid they make themselves seem joking about removing democracy.
