Re - Bushing Digger

Hi all

I am looking for some advice. So my 6t digger is very worn and I am sure he needs re-bushing on the boom side of It.
Does anyone know of a company that does this?
If it makes a difference I am in North Devon I have looked online and just can’t get anyone that will do it
I don’t want to do it myself as well so please don’t start explaining how to do it

Any help would be appreciated

Based nearer exeter so would need digger taken to him most likely but worth a shot. Are you thinking the whole boom or just kingpost and dipper end bushes?

Just all pins and bushes I was thinking. Why?

Did a Fermec 860 boom to kingpost last summer, A friend came round with gas bottles, I had the boom and dipper strapped up to the front bucket of a LB110 new holland just to take the weight. Then lifted the backhoe clear by about a foot, My mate then heated the 2 old bushes in the king post and the 2 in the bottom of the boom up and we drove them out the put the new bushes in along with a new bottom pin then lined it all back up popped the pin in, All in it took about 2 hours job done, I have done a few fermecs here, I need to do my 1.5 ton mini next!

Haven't done my TB125s kingpost yet but would like to to keep it tight-- think it will need line boring though... How many hours has yours done?

I'm fairly sure that even though it has a bush in it when they have a lot of wear in them they wear the casting too. Could be wrong...

Not to bad to do, strip it down like the rest and replace the bushes.
If the kingpost is worn, get it line bored

They’ve got to be very bad before they eat into the casting. They only wear the casting if the bush spins in the parent bore or the pin actually chews right through the bush.

They’ve got to be very bad before they eat into the casting. They only wear the casting if the bush spins in the parent bore or the pin actually chews right through the bush.

absolutely .. and if the bush is rotating in the casting it ain't up to spec. (or the casting has worn from a previously badly fitting bush )

Certain machine makes aren’t good, Kubota worked hard for 4000 hrs re-pin and bush, others Ive done at 2500 hrs!!

It's something I need to do on my old clunker someday, there's about a foot of sway on the bucket
Some Eejit had done one near the bucket with a plastic insert, but they hadn't drilled through it for the grease nipple

That Eejit was employed by JCB. I made a new placky bush for my 801 approximately copying the original one. I thought it odd there was no grease hole and on the basis that no hole equaled ‘worn out’ I figure a grease hole might equal ‘ not worn out so quickly’ so drilled one.
