Some pics from the Western Front...i.e. Canada. These machines are from when the wife and I were living in Lethbridge, AB. Not many guys there know how to run them with the legs up so you often see the legs and or blade down....especially the city guys that use them to replace old water mains. lol The other machines as far as I know were used to dig house basements.

Couple of 'ducks' in Winnipeg one a 1085 Cruz-Air originally designed by the Drott company, later Case, and finally Badger. They had a number of design flaws a big one being a lack of reach due to the large tires so you had three stick options including the 'extendahoe', regular stick, and really long stick.

A few Liebherr's running around Winnipeg usually doing road construction as you can see I often have my wife take the pictures for me when I'm driving unless I have a friend with me. The Winnipeg duck operators are often pretty good operators as they know how to run them with the legs up.

Boom lift top pin looks to be well on the way out in that Cruz Air Bert
presumably the dipper is pinned to the boom, straight out for roading with those two lugs and hole in the boom head ??
IIRC they did a big bro to them didn't they? a real beast of a thing

Yeah that was likely the first quick hitch on any machine on this side of the pond and the first to tilt. Found a few more Hyundai's from Lethbridge and Taber, AB. The first machines are used by the City of Lethbridge for water main replacement work hence the different selection of buckets for working in and around cages and other trench shoring. The plate packer for backfilling of course. The baby duck is my personal favorite as I tried one out a couple years ago and had a few idea's about putting one to work. The last Hyundai was privately owned and mostly used for digging house basements.

IIRC that's what Ovlov market as their baby duck .... Found it incredibly 'wobbly' when I had a little time in one at Ovlov's "Big Dig Day'', last year

It probably just needed dually's. I personally didn't find it that wobbly but it just had a wedge style quick coupler and a trenching bucket on it so not much weight there.
Next one is a Cat machine I ran nearly ten years ago already. Something that happens nearly every spring in this area is plowing of drainage ditches and in the city its done with 'ducks'. I had initially tried out with a so called landscaping company that had a couple Hyundai 140 size ducks and could handle the machine fine but a friend of mine cautioned about the company, so I went with this other company and spent about 2 weeks with this reversed Bateman tilt-bucket with what looks like a mailbox welded to the side. This was done as the snow was suppose to be pushed to the back slope of the ditch and the mail box was to make it wider and all it did was plug up and cause the bucket to want to tilt to that side every time you took a scoop.

Never had it on eBay. Sold it in july2016 was a great machine. If I had work and could afford to I would have kept it. Cab was basic. But was very quick and smooth. And 40k box and smoothride made it good for roading. I bought the wacker from Austria.

Can you tell me what quantity of oil goes into the axles? Been told of Hamilton brothers approx 2ltr per hub but the axles they could say.
You know of any common issues with them? A friend has bought a 2013 9503
