The place we did the flood pumping station have been on, on Friday when we had storm bebet they had a power cut so have taken me up on my idea to add a plug in and switch for a generator so I can drop one off for them in emergency but they like their own.

8–10kva 240 trolley mount small as possible

Any suggestion they’ll want it cheap as well not a Stephill etc

The Hyundai generators aren't great tbh we have one at work a sizeable thing electric start but trips if used with any form of breaker. So only any good for the mixer.
We have loads of pramacs with honda engines and they are great really reliable well built and only marginally more expensive than the Hyundai

I’ve just sold a 10kva 415v, 240v , 110v Arcgen last week.

It was ok starting a 5kva 3 phase motor.

To be fair it was probably a bit old and tiered for your application as it had about 3500hrs on it.

One question - petrol or diesel?
If you go petrol, assume the fuel lines are not ethonol compatible and should be replaced. Also, add a decent filter.

They'll not get anything decent new for less tbh.

1.5kw x2 is really not a lot. Is fitting a soft start an option?

Not to doubt your sparky but plenty on here will happily run a 3kw 9” grinder off a knackered old 9hp petrol Honda genny.
