Had the new Holland on this job yesterday, got rained off. Back with the Kubota today for comparison purposes.

No contest. The Kubota walks all over it. Bi speed turn, independent pto and a smaller footprint overall. 26hp is plenty. View attachment 50671

I spent a couple of hours on Brother in Laws Case 590ST last night trying to grade some shillet over the lane while BIL was using the swinger in the quarry. I haven’t tried a wheel digger in over 20 years. Spiteful bastard thing. Front wheels are so big you can’t see the bucket and I didn’t get on with the back end either. I got off and used a shovel in the end. It has however increased my respect for BIL for what he can do with it!

My arsehole twitched a couple of times at the top but I spun it round on the independent brakes no worries.

The alpine walks all over it on steeper hills, as you know…

Using the IDig 2D plus, no laser catch needed, but you do need GNSS (GPS) and correction services.
but the GNSS receiver can then be used as a rover for mapping/setting out. A real nice system.

I ran over an early LG touch screen phone with the back wheel of an MF35 once, dropped it while topping...
Stopped and picked it up, completely undamaged! I think the ground was damp enough that it just pushed it in a bit
