JCB micro 8008?

What are the JCB micros like? I have only used a 1.5 tone and whilst it was a bit crap, didn't track in a straight line and I had to drive it about a mile, it did dig ok. What are the micros like as there seems to be more about than takeuchi tb108s and I saw one go cheap the other day?

Absolutly horrible.better than a shovel but only just.used to drive one my builder customer hired in occasionally.he eventually bought a Takeuchi same size with servos which is a million times better.driving the jcb is like a punishment

the little kubota with the side lever (joysticks) is good, the bobcat clone is another one with proper sticks.

I’ve had older versions of the JCB and the kubota. IMO the kubota felt a lot more compact. They both had the rear mounted ROPS on them which i’d avoid if buying again as was really cumbersome in tight spots.

My choice would definitely be the Bobcat E10 or Doosan version. Think I’m right in saying they all have side levers and zero tail swing

there ok in light use, the actual micro is a lot better and has plenty of power.

I found the k008 better than the jcb, both are quite “noddy” but then theyre small light machines. I’ve got a bobcat E10 that does all i need to do. Most of the micros are still better than using a shovel!

When I was at local bobcat dealer a few months ago they had a new E10 ordered in with levers infront!

That will be the e08. They dont have twin speed tracking and they font expand quite as wide.

Not sure on how they compare on price to the e10.

I am tempted by a E10. They are £15,600 and they offer 0% finance. We will see, I will save up this year and maybe try and get one next year. I was thinking second hand but it looks like anything nice is £10,000 so not far off new.

Looks the right money/cheap - it’s listed as being in Welwyn garden city but the ad states it’s in Sheffield which stinks of scam to me (unfortunately). I’d want today’s photos of the serial numbers to see if it was worth viewing/try to ascertain if it’s been stolen, and then only buy it with pound notes when with the machine.

Also the Bobcat E10 would be my choice. You can’t beat the levers and the residual is cracking. If you pay the vat which is looks like you are You might get some back at resale from somebody who isn’t vat registered I.e he’s happy to save 20% too but you might put it up for 10% more than others

Ok I have just looked again a u10 with 1200 hours is worth 5-6.5k Plus vat

the new kubota SL has sticks as well, good resale on anything Kubota.
