do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
stress point where the shoulder is machined :( .... not a great deal one can do to relieve it either .... Vee it and it weakens it further ... cut a shallow rad in the transition point is about the best that can be done , but again reduces the material diameter ....they take a LOT of hammer

Hitachi sent through the tourqe setting for piston 4000nm  can only get near half that with torque multiplier

They must have an extra Zero on that number, surely? I can’t see why it needs to be so tight?
Does the nut have a locking tab or pin?

Well took all day to build up and put back on digger hardest part was holding down the rod to stop it lifting when tourqing up resorted in having to put a load on lorry (12t as lorry got built in weigher) and backing it up over the rod as when lorry was empty it was lifting
broke the small tourqe multiplier 3/4 drive that was 5:1 and made around 2600nm before letting go so borrowed a bigger one from another plant hire firm up the road and got it to the required 4000nm it was rated at 4800nm and 1:68
