I’ve the protect p180 with 200kg weight it’s ok on 3 ton if on flat but can get yourself in trouble, much better on 5.5 ton so smaller than these.

Have you thought about driving cup on breaker? Mine needs a lower level side mounting to make it easier

If you want to knock 'proper' posts, a pecker cup isn't much cop on that size machine. Been there got the T shirt.

I have a mast type with a weight that must be around 150kg- it's about perfect. I can weight the weight with some crane scales if it helps. @Storrsy ey gave me a great tip- cut the bottom of the mast and chain the post holding plate to the mast, so you can use the downforce of the machine on it too.

This will put in 3-4" tops on almost all ground, and I use 5-7" strainers which it does OK on most ground. Anything larger and you're better off with a bigger machine, so I keep a pallet each of those posts and strainers.

P180 from protech here on a 2.8ton Kubota. Wouldn’t fancy it on anything smaller. I seem to think they do offer a smaller weight/model

We sell these little knockers
" get in there " :giggle:

what're these like please Nigel @Dr pecker
" Rammer 111 breaker ,recent re-gas and new chisel " (known seller - have bought from him before - old forum member) got quite a few fence posts to do shortly and the half oxy bottle knocker is getting a bit on the weighty side :( would much prefer to sit on Lil' Jakie and press the loud pedal

make it a side mount bracket and replace the top head plate and the orange carrier with a low mounted pick up -- sound reasonable ?

The rammer 111 is a really good little breaker we use them on our 1.8 s and the 222 on the 2.5 tonners, have other makes too but they're not as good as the rammer

You won’t touch your rocky ground with that toy mate.
Unless really rocky you’ll be fine putting in 4” rounds, if Rocky make a rock spike 1/2 of posts with big head and some form of chain arrangement to remove

I need a low mount making for mine, you could make 2 haha 😆
yours appears to have one high mount point

by losing the carrier plate work it'd certainly save you some weight, but'd need to make some use of the third attachment/fixing point some how ... obviously not under anywhere near as much stress as busting rocks/concrete so could be made a lot 'lighter'

So you mean the chisel bit or the whole thing ?
I’ve got a wee cat breaker I use on the machine at the moment could I put a side cradle on it and a knocker chisel ?

Cheers

well that's do-able - just  ..... 50mm dia ... big pointy bit one end and gert plate head t'other... drop it through a wire strop, or two,(y) as it enters the deck and yank it back out

I would just use the point for the breaker as a rock spike swap back to post cup after wards

I’d keep the top hat for chisel work only takes 1 min to switch the chisels then bolt on low mount for driver work. Cases is 10mm just going to bolt it to thst where it doesn’t interfere with hammer inards
