Should have been 2 days, no question but this lot couldn't organise a chimps tea party sometimes.
Well that was bloody accurate- back on this site today, 4 guys, 3 of us staying in a hotel- so obviously we're looking to do long days. Not expecting this to be a problem as we were there till gone 10 on Friday, exceptional circumstances obviously but still, and this is the 4th site we've done for them in the last 2 months so they know how we work. 2pm the site manager comes round and says 'oh you do know this site shuts at 3pm as that's when the caretaker goes home?!?
And no one told us in the months its been in the pipeline 😮😮🤦🏻🤦🏻🤬🤬
Turns out someone had refused to pay the caretaker overtime so for the sake of a few quid an hour a team of 4-5 people will have days added to our schedule, loads of extra cost, travel, knock ons etc.
Yet they pay a bloke to come round every day as some kind of 'freelance progress checker'! Turns up, takes a few pictures, sods off in his new porsche cayan, nice work if you can get it🙄
No wonder public works take so long and go over budget by so much 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤬

I got called in by a head teacher I know a few weeks ago to put a pad in asap for a container ahead of a major boiler change. The caretaker there couldn't believe how much I got done in a day, he's in for a disappointment when the boiler contractors turn up I reckon in terms of speedy progress 😆😆

Yep pay all the people who produce nothing but headaches but won't pay the extra for caretaker!

The 22 tons is in reference to the 3 rocks on the wagon

Must be built for a particular purpose...I guess as a container yard jack of all trades? Quite clever in some aspects?

was one being put in here over the main Cardiff to Crewe rail line at Aber station .. meant to go take a look, but forgot - drove past yesterday morning and could see a circa 500 tonner with super lift rigged, another support machine, maybe 200ish and a 45t parked up, by the ballast trailers .. hopefully someone'll have been there with a camera or drone

Had the beluga Airbus come right over last week.
Couldn't get phone out quickly enough.
cool .. not that many folk'll 've seen that in the metal ...
have the same issue here ... Herc.s and various other LARGE transports come over us regularly at virtually zero feet and can never get the phone out quick enough, as they suddenly appear over the trees and are gone .. Ospreys're the exception usually - can hear them coming, but make such a row it's hard to tell WTF they're heading from .. can very often wave to the pilots - and some even wave back :ROFLMAO:
