Good Morning all.
This is my first post regarding our first mini digger purchase, Hope someone out there can help.
The boom is offset to the left hand side slightly and we are trying to re-centre it. The button on top of the left stick does nothing and on further investigation it has been pretty much bodged on the wiring side. What is the best way to straighten it up please. We thought of slackening the pipe on the ram and pulling it over !!! Will this work ?

No, it’ll leave air in the ram and the arm will flop about. You need to fix the button if it so broken.

Something is telling me the button on a Volvo also controlled the aux. Or you hold the button and use the slew to control the offset. Could well be wrong though.

Thank for your reply. We have taken out the floor and discovered what seems to be a control box of some sort with melted / fused together wires coming from it, and it seems to have been crushed somehow ( it’s not pretty)
We think the auxiliarys are controlled by the foot pedal on the floor. The button on top of the right joystick is for the horn,, it doesn’t work either.
We would like to disable the slew function as I don’t think it will ever work and we will never use it. The button on top of the left stick is definitely for the slew function.

I'd have it working in an hour. You just need someone who knows what they are doing.

If it's a single button rather than a pair of buttons on top of the left stick then my hunch sounds correct- you're supposed to hold that button and offset the boom using the slew (rotate) lever (the same one, the left one).

So you need to replace that control box. Post photos. It'll just be a 6x2 divertor, the onl;y question is how much space you have to play with.

Wish you were nearer to us we are in the west of Scotland. Will post pictures as soon as it’s light enough and the rain stops.
According to the operation diagram you are deffo correct about the slewing offset button. Have checked the button itself is works so it must be that box. Don’t know if a replacement control box would still be available the machine is 24 years old.

On my kubota you press button on top of left lever. Use off sett by by moving slew lever on right joy stick. Then press button again. Crap idea better on pedal then you can use both functions at same time.
I use off sett every time I use digger. Get it fixed

Well I’ve got the bottom of that one, it’s an old GPS tracker and it’s well knackered. So back to the wiring side of the hydraulic system

Hi mick. Any solution to this, checked the switch with a meter and it’s fine, trying to trace the wiring to what I assume must be some sort of changeover valve !

will be a 6 x 2 diverter of some sort somewhere:rolleyes: - A+B in C+D & E+F out to offset/slew motor... try following hoses instead of wiring ;) .. much easier to trace (y) :giggle:

This is the valve on top of what we think is the slew gearbox there are blanked off outlets from and back of it’s with heat shrink on as if they have never been used. There is a hole in the seat box to access the front one.
