We have a px due in next week it’s a knuckle boom hitachi ex60 with levers right out front in the corners. Assume on the valve chest

Will take some pics when it’s in supposedly on the button don’t see many

We agreed a value then when he showed me a pic I saw the knuckle boom and thought now this will be fun

A dash 1 Or an EX60URG. Both will sell this side of the water.... although the knuckle boom may hinder it a bit.

I do like the EX60 series. Have had several dash 3's and a dash 5. I am not sure that the knuckle boom version was officially imported so I would wonder if it us an old grey import. Will still do a job for someone. Looking forward to sone Hitachi porn!!

I know a lad with an EX60URG with the knuckled boom and it's a grey import. He altered the levers slightly as he thought they were too low. It's a step forward from his old hymac.

Cheers guys

She’s actually quite tidy for what it is, needs a good rinse, has a few leaky rams but you know I think to be expected

Hour meter is showing 4200 but I have a feeling it’s stuck at this. Previous keeper was a ag guy

Has usual bucket pin wear but feels ok as a whole

No idea on price 😐difficult to value also want to see it clean to see how bad the drippy rams are etc

I must say it’s has a lot of hydraulic power

I'll chuck me hat in the 'interested ring' too please Ross ;) ....... but a 4t would be even more interesting :giggle: ....... anyone know why these knuckle booms always had such a severe crank in the booms ?? .... damned near 90 deg.s, most of 'em are

Imagine that boom with a VA-r on it :cool:(y)

All the ex60 s have a fair crank in them, and those ofsets are great, far better than a kingpost machine in my opinion as you can see the bucket at all times.
It's also a true zero swing machine the boom folds up within the tracks width.

Not the fastest but a strong machine think they have the same pump as the ex100

my thoughts too Aiden .... downside is a lot more pins/bushes to wear in the knuckle set up

Cleaned up ok had a chance to have a play with it too

Strong hydraulics
Engine starts on the button is breathing a bit but I have no doubt that’s just a characteristic of it, no blue smoke etc
None of the lights etc work
Hour meter stopped st 4200
Slew feels ok
Pins and bushes in the knuckle and bucket are expected wear however I don’t think you notice in digging
It’s a straight machine
Tracks are like new ( one actually is)

8000 plus vat to you guys I am going to stick it up at 9 k I think elsewhere who knows if it’s worth that but the tracks are £1600 alone
