Track idler bolts

Have received my new track idler. When I took the spring tensioner off the bolts were badly corroded, so I chopped them off. Thinking I'd just go down local agricultural engineer's and pick some up. He tells me it's an odd size and tried numerous bolts. Anyone know where I can get them or the right size.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
can't really tell from the pic Dyl (you had Rory's old camera off him?) ... but guessing they're either M16 x 1.25 or M14, either of which will need a more specialised fixings supplier to match them .. not yer average bolts

don't suppose the heads are in good enough state to read the tensile strength rating either Dylan? M16 x 1.25s are usually a higher grade than 8.8s ... take one to a proper fixings seller and they should be able to match it

Funny when I did the other side the bolts came out easy. This side totally rotted away

Without measuring they’ll be metric fine, M14 or M16, 10.9 hardness. They aren’t unobtainium, you just need to go to a proper fastening supplier rather than a general hardware supplier. Sterling nut and bolt in Peterborough would match them in a couple of days.
