had it full serviced by Mtk although they didn't change chisel as said no point ( haha) yet as still life in it even if not sharp but they spin blunt with use
If only I had pictures of my mates old sb100.

I nick named it the GAP hammer.

GAP been gas avoidance point.

It was literally 4inch long.

One thing I did with my old one was put nuts and bolts in the pins that hold the chisel in, as the odd lump of rebar had tendency to flick the lynch pins off

Had lynch pins literally wear away and fall to bits on breaker headstocks before! always double nut!

We use Brass MDPE adapters now, easier and better IMHO than the Plasson (hate a plastic nipple!) will
Find you a link . Useful little things but only upto 25mm
I despise the passion threaded stuff, but tbf it serves a purpose. Normally we just use modular adaptors but on this setup I wanted to use multiple ball valves so had to deal with it.

It's a pity both brass and galv fittings are becoming difficult to find. Although being Mains this had to be plastic or brass.

Our local independent used to stock everything in the old days, people would joke that you could pull peice of roman pipe out of a hedge and old Stuart would find a fitting for it. Sadly just the plasson range now. Nice to hear someone else use modular adaptors, not many bother with them.

I'd be keen to see how much fun you have with that on micro. I guess dumpover height would be one issue.. you'd not get it over a tipper trailer easily ?

I’d have it on double hitch for 1.5 as well but few guys on paving or arb pages rate them.

Be best load height you’ll ever get out of an e10/dx10 etc

More to be an extra set of hands on light demo and with adapters got a gravel footpath job which will require re handling out of 1 or 3 ton tracked dumper into smaller tracked barrow

i know thats the way ,but feck me,25mdpe then a check valve which is about 12mm with restriction ,pointless
32mm, 1" checks and valves.

Ironically this is off a 700m pipeline with 5 in line SC's so the flow rate is moderately naff considering it's potential pressures (bottom of a valley). But to be honest it's just a back up system. The check is utterly pointless as there is zero chance of Syphon or cross contamination, but it satisfies
water regs and removes any risk.

With regards modulars. They are.fantastic. I like to run any systems we install with multiple shut offs to allow leak detection/isolation in future having suffered working on many farm systems. It's a Pity Plasson hasn't yet clocked.that a pre built manifold would be a hot seller.

I also need to find my thread cutter and start keeping galv in stock.

My local supplier has everything on the shelf….black iron/galv/pressfit/pushfit/endfeed/welded/compression/Plasson. They used to keep lots of obscure stuff too but have cleared some of the dusty shelves off over the past couple of years 😕

Tidied up the farm today, chucked it down the whole time but luckily kept on the concrete!
Old cow huts were there and never cleaned out after the tenant left… he sold the shed and just left the sh@t behind!
Decided I could do with a brush for the machine!
