Every time i see things like this I think we are coming closer to social collapse. By far more people support the bloke in that instance than the police and the police simply don't have the resources to cope as it is. It would not take much in the way of civil unrest for the police force to crumble, yet the police seem to be encouraging the chances of it happening by doing absolutely sod all in support of the average person.
I agree .. everyone is entitled to an opinion .... but when expressing your opinions, impact on others, in this sort of manner and the rule of law does sweet FA to bring you to account, then there is something SEEERIOUSLY wrong with the system.

If it was the right price would this size not sell to small builders for domestic work?

As long as it was over size to what was spec'd building control should not mind?

I was involved in a job a few months ago in London where they are dismantling a 9 story building and re using the steel to rebuild the building the same height as it was originally but with 13 internal floors rather that the 9 it did have.

I think the guy said the existing floor to ceiling height is about 4 point something meters and is being reduced to about 3 meters.

The propaganda is that it is a great carbon saving. My question was but "What about the travel for all the people to occupy the building"? Would it not have been better to leave it as it was a build a small new out of town building if the office space was really needed.

would ordinarily be too deep to fit in a floor, for a wall knock through and the like, Rob be alright for a main structural/load bearing wall, going through into an extension though, but then possibly not long enough :LOL:

another thin end of the wedge ..... and it's not just the Trust ... major land owners are doing the same to plant trees for the 'offset income' on perfectly viable, productive land

" TORIES’ NET ZERO PLAN DEDICATES MORE LAND FOR BIOMASS CROPS TO FEED DRAX THAN NEW WOODLAND

As part of the plans, ministers are making a major bet on Beccs, or bioenergy with carbon capture and storage.

The technology, which has never been deployed on a major scale, claims to generate negative emissions.

.....Overall, the energy strategy makes a call to plant an additional 9,600 hectares of perennial energy crops and 8,900 hectares of woodland annually by 2030, increasing to 15,000 extra hectares of energy crops and 10,300 hectares of new woodland a year by 2035.

The Climate Change Committee has said that there is a place for Beccs in the UKs energy mix. However it has warned that the supply of sustainable feedstock is limited and that more of it needs to come from the UK rather than overseas.

Currently, biomass burning sites without carbon capture, such as Drax in North Yorkshire, import their wood from overseas.

Nevertheless, critics have questioned why ministers are placing so much emphasis on an expensive technology that is yet to be shown to work at the necessary scale. "

watch the video ;):( .. all of it including the end credits .. couple of gems in them

Planet of the Humans, the full movie by Michael Moore. Taken down by YouTube. The movie is about the lies and hypocrisy of ‘green energy’ and biomass.
