Tarmac

Having to make a good an entrance way on a build with tarmac once I've ripped the services through.

Planning on taking up whats is there and then putting 250mm of type 1 compacted in 75mm layers with a roller. The tarmac guy has quoted for 50mm of AC20 binder and 25mm SMA6 suface.

I know bugger all about tarmac but this will have to take many full load 8 wheelers, artics with bricks etc going over it. Will what's been quoted be sufficient not to rut ?

What should I be paying a m2 for it bearing in mind I'll have it kerbed and stoned ready ?

That thickness of tar on straight runs is ok but keep lorry's away from edges
The splayed entrance will get punished from turning with weight on by drive axles
