Tarmac prices

Hi what are you guys paying per tonne of tarmac? I'm Nottinghamshire and paying £175 per tonne delivered. Thats from breedons, I dont have accounts anywhere could that be the problem? I prefer to pay as I go.

Yes accounts will save you alot from tarmac firms. What are you comparing as it varies between stone size and type of asphalt. Can be anything from £125 to £165 from Conway's. We also pay £20 per empty tonne on the lorry

That is for 20mm base and I think the 6mm sma is slightly cheaper but I couldnt be certain. Yes we also pay around £20 per empty tonne. From them prices you pay it looks like i am paying on the high side. Just out of interest do you know the going rate for what people are charging per m2 to lay a tarmac driveway prep lay and waste away?

Base is usually cheaper than 6mm we pay more the smaller the aggregate. I would have to look up sma as we don't use it very often.
Sorry I don't know the going rate as we either do developments or council work. Plus I'm in London waiting area so prices will be well out.
