SSSTS Course

I'm doing my SSSTS Course tomorrow via Zoom (I think). As usual I've left everything to the last minute and am just sorting out the admin now. Does anyone know if I need to download workbooks for this course? My email from the training company mentions them but I downloaded the GE706 and there's no workbooks with it. I had a look online and I can buy some but I think they're for the SSMTS.

I've not the the tripple S, always the SMSTS but the course teacher, provides the books every time I've gone. Had a photo of my site on the 2009/10 series ones, now there's no picture on the front - just boring shapes.
We work in construction and are therefore assumed stupid. They spend half the first day explaining where the toilets are and how the coffee machine works so I very much doubt they expect you to have anything other than yourself online at the correct time!
Just turn up and blag it, like the rest of the industry does with everything all the time!

Has any body done a covid 19 certificate course didnt know one exsisted until I read a plumbers ad

Point of interest .....gold/black supervisor/ manager card involves doing CSCS supervisor touch screen test,but doing sssts/ssmts doesn't ????

No there’s no mention of needing to do the touch screen.

On line course,few questions,seen people using it to try to give confidence to customers,probs questions like......how many verses of happy birthday,to wash hands???

Having not heard of such a thing i imagine you could be seeing that plumber on rogue traders at some point

It's great that you're taking the initiative to participate via Zoom. Regarding the workbooks, it's best to clarify with the training company to ensure you have the necessary materials. You can reach out to them and mention that you downloaded the GE706 document but didn't find any workbooks included. They should be able to provide guidance on whether you need to download additional workbooks or if they will be provided during the course. It's always better to double-check and be fully prepared. Just had to wait 3 years for it
