Site sponsor wanted

We are looking for a site sponsor or two that would come with ideally some benifits for both the sponsor and our users.

I am thinking of things such as giving the sponsor there own group section to post news, offers and about, this generally gains great traction on google due to how active the page is, so for example searching for plant such and such would likely throw up this forum quite high up if you was posting activly.

The top right hand side on desktop is free as is some other space, we do not want many but recently our costs have gone up so much (3 x what they were) it would be good to help with these.

The forum is growing organicly at a great pace, while we have a few accounts that get registered as spam i am very quick to remove these and delete memebers that look like spam before they even start. So Members of over 1500 now over 100 active members and always growing.

I am open to discussion on costs and what we can offer.

PM me if anybody is intrested I may reach out to some dealer type things, for all members please note, we do not want to have 20000 sponsors like some sites just one or two key ones that hopefully can help our costs a bit more than we currently have.

Hey all,

So the reality is if you saw us we do not “need” the money, i just wanted to see if we could generate a bit more without relying on our loyal member base. It would help me knowing it’s paying for itself or at least some of it is.

I could up the fee’s but i really dont want to as it was never about asking members to pay to run a forum. It’s tricky all of your offers and suggestions are taken on board and ultimatly i want to do the best for you , not me. Was just thinking if say a “dealer or manufacture” got a bit of coverage and space it may add to the site too, as well as be beneficial for them and you?

What kind of ‘coverage & space’ were you thinking off?
I’d personally have no issue with say a banner under the site logo top of the page, not one that follows you around the screen for example, I presume most of us view on a phone/tablet so more screen space is important(ie as it is)

I'm old skool desk top, but can see exactly where you're coming from .... 's the main reason I don't have 'net on my phone -- too bloody small ... the side banner on old CEF was always there and TBH it became 'invisible' -- aside from the screen coverage it took up, reducing the 'visible'/usable screen area for what we all come here for -- posts !

I think the advertising on the mig welding forum is well done.
Single advert for a company that does a lot of consumables or repeat purchase items.
A tilty advertising for example would be used by less than 50% of the users every 3-6 years. An oil and grease supplier would be used by nearly every user on the regular.
