......... say this forum base is fantastic It's so easy to use. If I was to start a forum i'd use this.
The people on it aren't bad either

One thing i'm having issues with though is the 'link count' This is set to two per per post, so I can't put up a post i've just done as all the pictures are links. I started deleting the links and replacing the pictures, but found they were too big so couldn't do it that way either!
Can this restriction be taken off or will bad things happen?

Dunno, just too big. There is a lot and I cba to re-size them all!
The only way around it will be to split the post in loads of smaller posts then it'll accept them. See what Regy says, the link count may be set accidentally or for a good reason.

must be serious images .... only ones that don't get accepted here, from my files, are 12.5Mp images taken with a DSLR ...... unless I compress 'em first

Yes they're a professional photographers pics, not mine forums and FB normally automatically re-size them to fit.

I use a prog called "windows image resizer".
You can select as many images as you like and 'resize' them all in a single operation
Unfortunately it doesn't strip out the personal info like your camera model and geolocation
Also a bonus is it's not a multi gigabyte down load (only 1mb - probably the smallest prog you can find these days!)

When someone puts a link to a Facebook advert in a thread the summary shows In what looks to me like French. When I open the ad it is in English.

I’ve looked at all the settings I can find but not seen anything wrong.

Any wisdom on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Mine is usually russian. It's not to do with my settings - I don't have a faceplant account

That one came up in french for me too, but not having a faceplant account, it won't play regardless.
