Evening all, just wondering where people go for plant finance especially when buying off a private seller (jcb finance only interested if buying off dealer)?!

Would imagine you'd have to get a normal unsecured loan

I use Lombard . I did need to purchase it first and then finance it once I owned it.
I’ve worked with them for years and they have always been brilliant but recent quotes they weren’t as competitive

I bought my van less than a year old . It was a private sale. Lombard would only finance through a dealer. I used my set aside vat and tax money to make the purchase and then financed it with them the next day . It was actually very straightforward. Finance amount was small though approx third of purchase price.

done the same with the odd crane ... made more sense than digging a large hole in the working capital, by spreading it out .... £30-40k was a chunk in the 90,s, 00,s ... lombard used to be big players in the plant/equipment finance game back then -- and understood equipment values (y)
