Im tempted to get a 2.5 ton digger and would like to park it on the front garden. The bit of grass i have in mind is 9m by 3m.
Apart from asking my neighbour on that side is there any reason other than theft that i should not?

Been there, done that and got the t shirt lol.

I'd say do it and deal with any consequences later. You won't get a fine or locked up for it and wost case is you give up and find another parking spot for it.

Just be prepared to deal with every department going. We even had environment agy involved because 'it might leak oil and you've got 5 gallon of diesel in a drum'

Ultimately no one stopped us for doing it for 18 years and we only stopped when the property was sold.

God forbid a man have a hobby.....
In all seriousness how often is it going to be home.
The irony is you'll get the twat up the road with 2 electric cars moaning and sniping away to the council.......who also happens to work from home running his startup selling cannabis infused diffusers for dogs that are packaged in gender neutral hemp based packaging.

If I wanted something and it fits on my property then it’s a done deal 🙌🏻 If it’s coming and going for work then not too bad but if it’s sat there for a period of time you might get fed up of the chancers offering to buy it for “2 grand mate”

I like cake
One of the first diggers i bought i parked in my garden (micro) 8008 jcb

Anyway i took it out and washed it one day on the drive, was a small detached house. A posh ish neighbour one door down who sold women’s stockings for an living and was likely into weird things said i should not be doing that and i’m disrupting the neighbourhood. We had a little to do over a metal gate. The estate was a modern persimmon type affair but was one of the first in Leighton Buzzard….. I was messing with cars etc there and lived there 5 years . Estate was called Sandhills… go figure where Sandhill Plant came from :)

I never spoke to the neighbour again, however did used to see them in town etc and just gave evils from what i remember.

Modern estates like that are even worse, there will be legal clauses expressly forbiding the kind of thing Russell wants to do. Plenty of them even have restrictions on parking vans!

I'm not saying he shouldn't go for it, just be aware that there might well be some or a lot of pushback.
