I've used a a drill pump successfully to change the oil from my Tak. 75 liter tank and it had it out pretty swiftly. Still managed to leave enough at the bottom so that when I took the suction filter off at the bottom I got a nice face full of oil thoughAnyone recommend a 12v oil pump that will pump th hydraulic oil from the tank ?
I just serviced case today and found the hydraulic filter like this
I want to change the oil swiftly and it’s a bit of a ball ache letting the plunger go in the bottom
some bit of suction at work there VinAnyone recommend a 12v oil pump that will pump th hydraulic oil from the tank ?

I like the look off the drill pumps . No need to feck about with a battery either . Mind you I’ve always got a charged 663 in the van anyway
ditto, not as I use it often thoughI have the plastic version of this- well impressed what it does for a small cheap pump- the metal version in the link is meant to be vastly superior though. I've done several hydraulic oil changes with mine and most recently sucked all the thick oil out of a dumper gearbox which really surprised me tbh.
It does seem to work best if you can keep the pump lower than the tank though- like syphoning
Sure was buddy , I sent pic to Angus he asked was oil milky and it was a bit . He reckons the filter might of been blockedsome bit of suction at work there Vin![]()
ive heard that today twice now . All my kit is Makita though so I’m looking into wether they make a similar one .Milwaukee M18 transfer pump. Bloody brilliant and you will find all sorts of other uses for it too.
First job for mine was pumping thick waste oil, I only had washing machine hoses to hand so major restriction and it still did it no probs. Seriously impressed.
i used a caravan water pump the pump went in the water carrier like a 25litre plastic drum pumps diesel well and quicker than i thought it would and its 12 volt have not tried it on oil but think it would manage hyd oil ok .Sure was buddy , I sent pic to Angus he asked was oil milky and it was a bit . I used a 12v diesel pump and that emptied it pretty rapid . Bits of filter guts in the strainer though so I’ve got a bit of work to do now cleaning it all upi used a caravan water pump the pump went in the water carrier like a 25litre plastic drum pumps diesel well and quicker than i thought it would and its 12 volt have not tried it on oil but think it would manage hyd oil ok .
