New to plant ownership

Hi. I am looking at buying a micro excavator for use on our land. We live in Portugal and I have been researching some models.
I have found a couple of possibles but am unsure about the terms of sale.
The items are via a UK firm but despatched from their Spain depot for EU countries. I would normally view the item first but obviously not an option here. I have been told that I would have 24hrs to cancel the purchase and return it at their expense.
Has anyone had any experience or info about first construction equipment limited based in the UK.
I have researched as much as I can and it all seems legit, I just worry with the scams going on lately.
Thanks in advance.

Please message me. I will then provide my bank details for you to purchase from me. You will have the full right to return the goods if they ever turn up.

Does this sound like a scam??

Few months ago a farmer I know a bit bought a 5tonner from a local plant sales outfit ..only 45mins away , the tale goes, he saw it on their website - spoke to the rep on the phone - did the deal and paid , to include delivery, bought it unseen as they were well known and people they know had had dealings with them.
After a while tried ring up wondering why no show but no answer on reps number, found another number for them off google or whatever and yes they had the 5tonner in question but hadn't sold it or even had the discussion 🤦‍♂

hi-jacked web site ....
all too familiar story these days - these scammers are switched on, crafty bas**rds
if you haven't got it in front of you, hands on - DO NOT part with your cash under any circumstances -
unless you are dealing with the likes of @Regy53 - an established, reputable dealer -- but even some of his gear has been 'hi-jacked' on occasion :mad:
it is all too easy to get stung on the WWW.

I was emailing a customer on a cat 730 , about 220 k of machine.

The customer went quiet, two weeks later he emailed and said thanks for the intro to Antony, I am on with the machine.

Somebody had hijacked his email account and was acting as us saying they had the machine etc and we can deliver it Foc blah blah. The customer got a little suspicious hence the email to me. They had exchanged emails for two weeks solid, and could have very nearly been scammed for a huge amount

We do our best now to include our logo in the background. It seems to have stopped some of the repeated images

Yeah great idea

Should be a rule on Facebook like it gives you listing number then you have to photograph the item with that number in it etc AI could check it reduce some of the scams on eBay/marketplace

can't see ebay doing it .... they'd halve their seller numbers and FB have no incentive whatsoever to be arsed

If in doubt go see the physical machine!
Must admit I have purchased from main dealers (new) before without even meeting them face to face.. just phone call/email. And I’ve sold 3 machines to Ross without meeting him too.. got to use your spider sense sometimes! 😉

eBay are getting a kicking right now from FB MP.
They've removed fees for private sellers now.

About time they actually did something about scummers
yep -- struggling big time - their own greedy fault
