Mini Crushers

Hi All

Took down a load of walls out on a big project, (old victorian red brick) , prob 40- 50 ton.
Was thinking of crushing cause got some landscaping and other uses for hardcore on the job. Was going to mix it up with some type 1 with telehandler where type 1 is required ( some internal floors etc).

Was looking at Red Rhino 4000 or 5000.
I read mixed reviews on them but thought as the brick is fairly soft it would crush easily.

Hoping to load with on site 1.7t TB216

Anyone got any experience with them??

TIA

I have a R/R 4000 and will eat through brick as quick as hand fed, have loaded with machines including a 5 toner but just means you’re waiting for it to clear before adding the next buckets worth.
its never going to be an “industrial” crusher but will certainly do what it sounds like you need.

I looked at the 4000 but thought it looked a bit small, you think that would be better for loading with 1.7t?
Was going to put tele bucket at other end and carting it straight off

Will be fine with a 1.7, I often fill the tracked dumper or a bulk bag

Would you even bother with a riddle bucket on a 1.7t, they look like they wouldn't be very effective.

The brick pile is relatively clean but I have a 20t pile that's not so clean.

Do the rhino's jam up much?

I've got a rake riddle on 1.7t and it works fine on dry gear.

When I've had those mini crushers before we fed by hand as they jam easily with bricks.

It was a different crusher to the Red Rhino but will also eat bricks as fast as you can drop them in.

I used a general purpose rake bucket on my micro when I was loading a mini crusher, found it ideal as I could bite into the pile nicely and shake out the smaller stuff so I had decent lumps going into the crusher.
