MIG tips and shrouds

I've only recently seen these ceramic coated tips and shrouds. Never tried them, only seen the ads.
Just wondering if anyone has tried them?
I assume it's mostly (all?) about stopping spatter from sticking, but there might be more to it than that.

MB150 style - would also assume it's all about the spatter -- what's the price differences like? and how many tubs of 'tip dip' could you buy for it :giggle:

That set of 9 parts is about £3 - I'm not vouching for the quality.
cheap - the diffuser (tip holder) would be that on its own usually - shrouds'd be more -- be interested to hear how you get on with them - I don't use an MB150 often  but they are spatter magnets

I'm not sure what type my torch is. It does 'look' like this. It's branded J.I.C and is very well built, but the brand doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I've never had a lot of problems with spatter - I swap between two shrouds.
When one clags up, I clean it out, give it a very heavy dose of spray spatter guard and put it on the shelf to dry, fit the "one I prepared earlier" and keep welding.

Larger shrouds are also available - the 500 is under £2.
The pics are straight off the ad, but I'm temped to try them
