L-series wheel loaders
Hi, I'm passionate about German wheel loaders Hanomag, Zettelmeyer O & K, Liebherr L series, what do you think?

International/Hough were like that, so were early JCB’s. As you say, an acquired taste which I never got. The argument for was that you were always in line with your bucket when loading, but the disadvantages when reversing outweighed this IMO. What settled it was that it was cheaper to not run cables, linkages etc. over the steering joint so the cabs ended up at the back mostly. Apart from the gardeners world machines, that is.

Cab on the front is horrendous to drive. They take 10 times as much concentration to reverse especially when they overhang the back axle so much. I still think the same of avants. Would be far nicer to drive if you sat on the back
