KX015 Boom Greasing

Hi,
I have a Kubota KX015-4 and can't find the grease nipple(s) for the boom. The manual has a vague arrow pointing to where I'd expect them to be but, for the life of me, I can't find them! Can anyone help? I've added a few photos of a lack of grease nipples...
Thanks,
Adam

well the pin is captured in the boom by the bolt, so would not expect to see nipples in it
obviously pivots about the base bushes in the king post, so'd expect the nipples to be located in those bushes/bosses

what's this ?? spacer tube?

I would have said there should be drillings and greasers here, but no sign, unless the pin was originally greased from one end!
Yeah. I just had another good look specifically around there and there's nothing. Seems really odd that that big lump of cast steel could be missing some holes though!
The pin does have a hole, though not a nipple, in one end only. If that's the route for the grease, how do I get some in there?

The pin does have a hole,
That's just a 'centering' hole for aligning it while drilling etc.
You can't pump grease in there as it would intersect the cross-drilling and come out along the retaining bolt.
Looks like the correct pin should be drilled and tapped from the other end to take a nipple.
(it would then be center bored and cross-drilled under each bush)

There greased on the end of the pin.
I suspect it's had a new pin fitted that didn't have a grease nipple drilled in it, what age/hours are on the Kubota?
3000 hours. I guess I'll see how much a replacement Kuboto pin is (though given the previous owner went with a generic one, I suspect it'll be pricey  ).

Any local machine shop should be able to drill and tap your current pin.

Question is, has the lack of greasing made is such that you may as well get a new greasable pin and bushes?

Yes. Is there any way to tell if the bushes need replacing without removing them? Obvs I'll be able to see the pin when I push it through with the new one (though I'm wondering how that'll work if the new one has the grease nipple on one end).

Thanks a lot for all the links to pins etc everyone, really helpful :)(y)

That shouldn't be a problem because the end of the pin will be (should be!) counterbored with the nipple fully protected.
If the nipple isn't fully recessed, it's just a matter of unscrewing the nipple while you are swapping pins.
