Those from old forum will remember Paul Marsden aka Polishbuilt from near me in peaks.

He’s selling his newish kx60 and engcon setup

He’s had a u 55 with engcon for 4-5 years then tried a Turkish backhoe with rototilt after original plan new case backhoe wouldn’t work with rototilt.

He’s sold the old u55 and engcon recently into Ireland after not getting on with the kx60 so kept using the u55 with the kx60 parked up, but now says he’s going bigger

The 60k isnt out of the way in reality but makes you wonder what didnt float his boat about it, few people have said the new 6t is good.....maybe his plan changed after buying it in so much as he decided he needed bigger so ran the old 55 so as not to devalue the newer one.
Hardly dare say it but cant see the famous gripper and deff missing a trick if you dont have one on this size machine.

Think he just didn’t like the feel of the 60, told me on numerous occasions but was just getting on with it and now going bigger. Some work must have come up, he was quiet only doing few days a week and he was normally out everyday on day rate. Used to run 3cx catering for all farmers tows Kubota rd with John Deere. Does a lot for big local camp site.

Hired this once for a job ...saw it at local dealers and couldn't resist, I would of been very happy with it.

The U55 is a very good digger, almost perfect in terms of stability, reach and power with the zero tail not really adding too many compromises that many 5 tonners suffer from. The U48, now the U50 is awful. Avoid at all costs.
He's gone through some machines in the last few years, cant be a cheap way to operate. I remember asking him about how he was finding a tiltrotator on a backhoe and he was very against it. I said that's not what your article in earthmovers said a few months ago! I believe he got rid of the tilty pretty quick, sad to see someone have to learn like that but valuable experience for the rest of us.

He ordered the case backhoe Shaun assured him rototilt would work fine, bought the unit and the case and then huge delays on the case finally arrived then they couldn’t get it to work know he wasn’t happy with Shaun

I cant say that is entirely true! I was involved with that project at a stage, i advised against putting it on a machine with Sticks, and i told them it wouldn't work on the machine they wanted to fit it too.

Im not certain, i dont even think it was tried on the case! And i had no involvement in the Hydromek at all

They’re were multiple delays inc wrong tyres on case etc was a cluster feck basically

Paul had a phase running a rubble master crusher as well £90k odd towing rd to farms etc for £500 a day 10 years ago but with wear parts and belts etc was uneconomical

Those herbst crusher are like 120k for big ones plus a 150k tractor pulling them, 10 years ago or more rubble master was the only mid size option at 9 tons ish

Deffo turning into a buyers market now! I’d be using it to px into the bigger machine, if the dealer doesn’t want it they don’t get the new machine sale!

Seems to be demand for pre setup tilty machines that ppl don’t need to figure stuff out etc just purchase and go

Bit of caution needed to make sure they have done their homework and put something well matched together then why not save the hassle and prob a few quid towards attachments

His was a kx057-4 still local to him I believe, he had turret raised as well on his

Well in a surprise move Paul who’d sold his Kubota and engcon setup impetuously having not used it favouring his old setup and then bought a kobelco and steelwrist which I’d never seen out working has gone back to another Kubota and engcon and seemingly still hates it.

With his 2 backhoe tilty failures this makes it his 5th tilty
