Information and chronological history of half-cab trucks
Which are the most significant models?

Hi, could a friend tell us about half-cab trucks? I'm not referring to construction site vehicles like dumpers, concrete mixers, or tippers. I know that even road bisons once had this low-cost cab design for economic reasons. What were the first models and brands? Chronologically speaking, what were the most significant iconic models? Is there a chronological ranking? Thanks.

roads here are so bad they look like a 16 yr old with the worst case of acne ever .. no longer just have pot holes, but mounds of tar where they've come along and wacked in black top with the back of a shovel in a futile attempt to fill the holes, so now have mounds interspersing the holes making it even worse ... the main roads are just as bad - have to run the white lines to be able to straddle the bloody craters in 'the running line' ...
can not recall a time when the roads have been in such a bad state of repair - they're bad enough on four wheels - bloody lethal for bikers
