Back when I was getting the hang of operating an excavator, one thing that really got to me was trying to scoop up the last scraps of rubble or soil. I wanted to avoid having to climb out and shovel it in by hand. Then, someone tipped me off about swinging the arm left and scooping against the blade, which lets you see better and be more precise.
But I've seen in tiltrotator videos, operators don't do that. Instead, they rotate the bucket while clearing, sort of flicking the last bits in as they pull the debris back.
Is there a trick to this technique?
