Hitachi EX5 with a Robyn Dy 27 Diesel engine

Ive a little Hitachi micro digger, having an issue with Robyn Dy 27 diesel engine. Running sweet up until recently and not using oil. When it get hot (after 15min work or so) it appears to loose power, similar to running out of fuel. I've serviced the fuel line to the pump to no avail. Cleaned the air filter, I've the fuel line bypassing the filter now and connected direct to the injector pump and still the same. After a little work it appears to loose all power and may stop but can be restarted. Is there anything with pump/governor or anything that is a known issue?

breather blocked in the fuel tank/cap --- try running it with the cap off/loose

I've never met a Robin dy 27 in a digger but I have met the dy 42 on tyre fitting compressors and know that they are prone to the piston rings sticking if they do much work at low revs
