Hereford Galvanisers used to have the biggest tanks 'round here ...
Ash were much smaller and Mcarthurs in Bristol produced the best finish, but didn't have the capacity Hereford had (but results were pretty 'random') --
I'm talking pre 2010 so no idea currently. I doubt anyone has surpassed Herefords size capacity though

Thats who everyone around here uses. Crediton?
McArthurs run down to Devon/Cornwall twice a week (or used to in 2010?) ... from memory they were limited to 12ft max length ... did a stunningly nice job though

That feels like a blast from the past, it was a real loss when they shut up shop, popular with vehicle restorers as they didn't damage stuff 🙂

so McArthurs are no more?? .. trying to think of the guy I used to deal with there .. was always very obliging... could have stuff collected and returned for less than it used to cost me to run my truck up to Hereford one way (y)
Plus as said superb job and never damaged anything, fair play :giggle::love:

Well I got a price back best place were premier galve 700 + vat for the galv and 130 + vat for transport they were not keen on my tank tho as there is no drain holes but I think I can machine up a couple of 3/8" bsp bungs sockets to stick in the ends and hopefully that will be ok I reckon they are charging about 1.60 a kilo main trailer frame weighs 340 kg for reference
