Four swearwords

Hi All

If you all object to this enough then i will revert this back as this as you know is really a unmoderated forum and i wish to keep it that way however..

Google will de-rank you (like youtube) depending on certain words being used in your forum and I have been looking into this. Ideally i would like for everybody's benefit to rank as high as we can for new members to join
It is a open forum so anybody can read including kids and etc
We lost a fairly well established member a few months ago for not wanting to be associated with the sort of carry on. Which i can understand as being part of a forum can boost your company views a lot (google sandhill plant for example) it always featured page one on CE and now here

when you searched these words there are only a few users who use them anyway. Its hard to think that somebody typing something that means so little could may affect our google ratings thus enjoying new member registrations

So 4 words i have changed

F =f**k
F'ing = f****ng
S**t = s**t
c..... = ****

I personally believe this is for the good of the forum and as such it remains (apart from druids username) the only thing we really moderate. So while we can revert back would really like the understanding of why this is put in place.

I thought it was quite on a few fronts but with the covid carryon I thought it might have been that. I will of course curtail cussing but don't be shy in letting us know the line, it's easy to go too far when the crack is in

There is nothing to apologize for guys and girls, i dont particularly mind myself just looking for the bigger picture I dont think it ultimately will make a huge difference but its a shame to lose member's over it, or lose some google ranks so we are not seen etc.
