When I got back after a couple of weeks away the batteries were flat on my Iveco Eurocargo 7.5T - when i started it up there was a engine warning light on (the engine shaped yellow one) it must be related to the flat batteries... anyone any thoughts as to how it might be turned off ? or is it a trip to the dealers ?

Try YouTube first, couldn’t get oil service light off the van after I serviced it....looked on there and sorted it 👍🏼

I was hoping it would but its been a few days - will give it a week and then see if I can pull a wire off the back of the dash before its test :)

Did you jump start it with the lights on ??
Ivecos don't like being jump started but turning the lights on helps stop surges and upsetting the ecu

For cars at least, that's no use now mate. Warning lights have to come on and then go out.

I'd try disconnecting for a bit, as above.

No I didn't have lights on when I jumped it off - would never have thought of it ...... something to try remember if it ever happens again 👍

Could it be unrelated to the jump start and just be due to the time since last service?
I did a (very) quick search and there are lots of people asking for instructions on clearing the 'oil change' light.

To reset the Oil Life Light on new models of 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Iveco Daily, conform to the following instructions:
  • Turn the ignition ON without starting the engine.
  • Press accelerator pedal fully down to the floor for at least 15 seconds.
  • After fifteen seconds press / pump the brake pedal 10 times
  • Turn off the ignition, wait five seconds, turn on the ignition.

They get a lot worse than that. Try looking up the sequence for disabling the seatbelt beeping
(really irritating after the first hour of driving around a paddock at 6m/h)

I want one to disable the bloody beeper on a Golf ..... bloody thing  ... hate seat belts, unless i am 'really' going somewhere in a hurry.
Brother got T-boned in his motor, many years ago .... if he'd had a belt on he'd be dead ... hit him out the passenger door of his car

Don't feel like debating seatbelts, but the alarm can be disabled

I now use these
