When we installed the therm flow cylinder we spec’d it so we could add this on later if we wished.

" Solar heat tubes. Approx 48mm diameter x 160cm length. These are in boxes never used. These are priced to sell, do your research, there are used heat tubes on ebay sold for between £20-30. These are priced as follows. Individual tube price £25. Buy 5-10 £20 each. Buy 10 or more £15 each. "

not sure just how they are coupled Shaun, presumably the water flows through the copper tubing? Not much use unless you have a manifold!!
They are fully sealed. The copper tube inside the glass envelope gets very hot due to the large collection area.not sure just how they are coupled Shaun, presumably the water flows through the copper tubing?
pretty sure a 'manifold' could be created with a little ingenuity (and some grommets)They are fully sealed. The copper tube inside the glass envelope gets very hot due to the large collection area.
The heat is transferred to the short copper stub which is typically inserted into @TiltyShaun 's manifold (or direct into a storage tank) where the heat is transferred direct to the water.
