View attachment 48094what happens when your tipping the trailer and the draw bar of trailer starts wanting to raise. Anyone tipped silage trailers back in the day will know that they can lift the back of the tractor.
With it being on the arms, they will rise
unless you have a draft control powering the arms down (y)

The A frame sounds a good idea. Could be used to move other stuff. How strong are they?
Grahams is maybe the best but above my pay grade.
Just been and have another look and the A frame idea, would this put the trailer hitch to far back. I presume you want the trailer weight as near to back axle as possible
I'm sure you could knock this up Dyl -- one pin straight through

Seeing how close yours is to the holes for the top link I would use the top link to hold the top of a removable bracket and the bottom half supported off the existing tow bar. Can't bend the existing tow bar then
This seems a sensible idea. But not sure I've the skills.

Ooh I remember that feeling, all feels good until the silage moves back a bit, the back axle lifts and you shoot smartly forwards with no control. Sometimes it wasn't accompanied by the sound of the gable end asbestos cement raining down 😁

The extension would have to be fixed as it would just swivel down.

Easiest think in all honesty is just to sell me the tractor....... I might even take the trailer too😄
😂😂
Surely when connected it wouldn't swivel down. I'm not convinced this is the answer anyway

If trailer hitch is bolted to trailer then just ad a hunk of metal between with long bolts or 2 sets of bolts and 2 lots of holes to bolt it on lower

I think he means the swivel has a nut so it can be removed but the swivel boss will be welded on.
IMHO you might be better cutting the swivel part off a packing it down to suit the compact trac height and weld it all up again and get a Aframe for the big tractor. It'll handle the extension out back better than the compact and the compact will need all the help it can get to boss the trailer if it's sized for bigger tractors

Think the trailer is designed to carry 1.2t. So not braking any limits 😂😂

so make it a bolt on and remove the existing swivelling eye -- just leave the tube under the draw bar to re-fit the original eye if required ... can get weld on eye hitches in both long straight and cranked

Yeah this seems the best idea.
It dose'nt even need a weld on pin hitch. Just a piece of plate with a 25mm hole or water size is needed

TBH Dyl for the price of it I'd just buy the hitch ...... cheapest I've seen anywhere lately
