Adding easycontrol to JCB 3CX 2005 models

I currently have older JCB 3cx 2005 model and I would like to know if its possible to buy the easy control system from newer JCB 3cx models and then retrofit my older model with it. I like the idea to have the joystick integrated into the seats which is ergonomically better for my back but also does provide more foot room when using the backhoe.

Note that I am in Mauritius and till now all models that we get locally do not include the easycontrol. Since these are very expensive machines I wanted to find ways to retrofit my existing machine.

Please do share your thoughts.

A massive undertaking. You’d need to pull it all apart and add new valve chest etc. yours works on a mechanical linkage to the valves, easy control is electric servos.

It’s got to be cheaper to buy one from factory.

As doobin has said, huge undertaking. I don't think it was only the controls that changed either, I think an easy control machines had a completely different pump and hydraulic system as well, I think they were Closed centre with Rexroth valves and a piston pump where as the mechanical ones were typically open centre gear pump husco systems.

Ultimately it's going to far too expensive to make it worth while, better importing a good quality used machine from another market.

As said, short answer would be no. The hydraulic system it totally different, you would basically need to start from scratch.
