I currently have a belle md300 and a ramp do I buy another belle or sell what I've got and get a tracked dumper ?
Well discussed on here. MuckTrucks(or whatever variant you have) are a great gateway tool.... but I would rather spend a day on a high tip track barrow than a mucktruck any day. Safer as well.I currently have a belle md300 and a ramp do I buy another belle or sell what I've got and get a tracked dumper ?
Decent barrow pushers are hard to find these days …. Soft childhoods for too many.2 lads with barrows.............
Yeah but surely you need 2 lads behind the muck trucks.Decent barrow pushers are hard to find these days …. Soft childhoods for too many.
More lads happy to push levers than barrowsYeah but surely you need 2 lads behind the muck trucks.
Or if you're on your own it's half as many times getting on and off the digger compared to 1 muck truck.Yeah but surely you need 2 lads behind the muck trucks.
How many of us entertain that? Genuine question?Or if you're on your own it's half as many times getting on and off the digger compared to 1 muck truck.
Or 1 muck truck being loaded while 1 is being emptied if you have a helper.![]()
I've not done it with 2 muck trucks, because I've never owned 2, but I have done it with the muck truck and a tracked dumperHow many of us entertain that? Genuine question?
Literally why would you have yourself, a digger a track barrow and a muck truck running?I've not done it with 2 muck trucks, because I've never owned 2, but I have done it with the muck truck and a tracked dumper![]()
It's been very rare that I'd have muck truck and tracked dumper with just me, but when there's someone operating the dumper, if the muck truck was there why not be filling that while they're tipping the dumper ? Less waiting time for 2 people.Literally why would you have yourself, a digger a track barrow and a muck truck running?
ah, but which breed of barrow'd be the next question2 lads with barrows.............
One of these ones obviouslyah, but which breed of barrow'd be the next question![]()
Druid, there is a large moth or something on yer hat.
The other day I was getting 3x 2ft buckets full in my muck truck. It was aprox a 15mtere steight run, but did involve a narrow opening. The muck truck looks to me like it would carry one 1-2 buckets of a micro. My choice would be a good tracked barrow and drive the digger and dumper yourself.
can imagine the muck truck takes some wrangling, compared to a barrowThe other day I was getting 3x 2ft buckets full in my muck truck. It was aprox a 15mtere steight run, but did involve a narrow opening.
We got out around an 8w grab load out in the day.
Then last Friday we had 2 lads on barrows doing a 40m length decreasing to 30m as I dug and we had 2x 6wheel grabs out.
As with everything, it works for some job/situations but not others.
Yes, straight runs/no corners are bestcan imagine the muck truck takes some wrangling, compared to a barrow
