A Unicorn! This 6 Wheel Skid steer was originally made by a company called Monroe which was bought by Bobcat. According to Bobcat this was proto-type model and Melroe only produced 95 of these. This unit has the key and a bill-of-sale. It starts, runs good, drives forward and reverse. The left and right turning need adjustment. The bucket works fantastic etc. It has an ejector bucket which is kind of cool.

better if tracked or with many wheels, perhaps for snow or mud?

What would be the largest and most powerful mini skid loader, wheeled or tracked, ever built? Maybe it's out of production. Making a gigantic one doesn't make sense. I think it makes no sense to use another type of machinery, a tracked loader, a wheeled loader, or a classic excavator. Am I wrong? I exclude a telescopic telehandler. I don't see it as suitable. Am I wrong as a reflection?

Not sure about the biggest but the case Minotaur will definitely be up there
The thing is skidsteers are great because they are compact, if they are big then a wheeled or tracked loading shovel will be better.

I think that’s either a conversion, or photoshopped.

I can’t see any advantage over a standard wheeled mechanical handler, probably more drawbacks. No stabilisers for one.

from memory it lived in a very big scrap yard, dockside, on concrete ... doubt it'd need much in the way of stabilisers with that wheelbase and weight
seems that it must be a 'real thing' as there are loads of folks selling the model of the beast

You live and learn. Re the DW6, they were initially made for pulling trains of sugar cane trailers in one of the West Indies. I have seen a picture of one with a blade.

was looking at a short vid the other night of two C@T crawlers, which'd had the track frames removed and gert wheels fitted (OE fit), for hauling boxes, somewhere in the states ... they were skid steer too

Wasn't there a vid listed recently showing a couple - I think they were known as 'sugar babies'.
